WOBURN, Massachusetts (September 20, 2011) Julie Davis had a solid skill set and had worked in the financial service industry. She wanted to achieve even more in her next career move.  Davis decided to make the bold move to incorporate QuickBooks, bookkeeping and principles of accounting into her repertoire.

Julie enrolled in Millennium Training Institute’s Business Administration & Bookkeeping program on the Boston campus. There, she found camaraderie amongst her peers, a supportive faculty and a suite of skills that propelled her to her destiny – Student Accounts Representative in the Bursar’s Office at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Says Davis, “Being at Millennium gave me the time to acquire new skills and reflect on what I wanted for my future. Along with my new skill sets, the faculty gave me a lot of truth and clarity as to what the employment market was bearing, assessing my strengths and aptitudes, preparing for the job search and interview process, and to dream about big career moves and taking on new challenges.”
Davis also took full advantage of the Career Planning and Placement services at MTI.  She met regularly with the staff to identify the positions that appealed to her and to highlight her transferable skills.  She also regularly attended the school’s weekly Job Search support class, which helped her to address interviewing questions and to refine her job search strategies in a trying market.
Davis commented, “This training and support from MTI and my own self-reflection opened up a world of opportunity and gave me the confidence to strive beyond my reach. For me, this culminated in an opportunity at Berklee, and I cannot wait to prove myself, and grow to the next level in my career. I am definitely grateful to this school! ”
