Testing Center

We are an authorized pan and Castle Worldwide testing center.

We proctor various exams using computer-based testing, which is an efficient way to provide a secure and consistent environment for certification and licensure while significantly enhancing the candidate experience.

High-stakes examinations are vitally important to the careers of the people who take them. Certification and licensure are essential qualifications for some individuals to work in their chosen professions, and they provide the means for these individuals to market their expertise to consumers, the public, or the employers seeking skilled workers.

In today’s heated business climate, getting a certification not only adds value to your resume but also sets you apart from the pack. It clearly emphasizes your dedication towards your profession! That’s because every employer desires a person who has precise knowledge, skills, and ability in the exact area of the discipline for which they need an employee for.

Certifications and credentials are becoming increasingly more important to many businesses who are hiring new employees. A job candidate with a certification and/or credential usually moves up the list in terms of the likelihood of being hired. In addition, some employers require that a prospective employee already have a credential or certification in hand as a requirement for consideration for a position.

The testing center is located on the second floor of our main campus in Woburn, suite 2550.  For directions, please click here.

pan, a TALX company, is a secure Internet-based testing system for corporate and government clients.

Castle Worldwide provides testing services to certification and licensure organization, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and trade and professional associations.

We conduct pan and Castle testing at both our Woburn - main office and Dorchester/Milton - satellite locations.

Exam Testing Hours - Our testing hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. All exams must be completed within this time period.

Admissions

Millennium Training Institute's admissions process is designed to be simple and comfortable for you.

For the cost of tuition and class schedules, click here.

Getting started is easy, either complete an online admissions application and an Admissions Representative will call you, or call us directly at 1-888-388-9981 and ask to speak with an Admissions Representative. Admission is open to all qualified applicants. No qualified person will be excluded from enrollment based on age, race, gender, disability, or national origin.

Your second step is to schedule an appointment to tour our school and meet with one of our Admissions Representatives. During your visit, you will receive in-depth information about our training programs.  Our representatives will answer any questions you may have in order to assist you in determining which program is best suited for you and will help you achieve your career goals.

Next you will be introduced to one of our Financial Aid Representatives to discuss paying for your tuition, and that we have made easy.  We have Federal financial aid options available for those that qualify.  If you can't pay tuition in full, don't worry! Payment plans are available. If you are employed, your employer may also offer tuition reimbursement.  Make sure to check with the human resource department of your employer to see if they offer funding for attendance at MTI.

Once you've made the decision to attend Millennium Training Institute, the last step is to complete and sign your enrollment agreement and required paperwork.  Some of our programs have specific admission requirements, as outlined in our school catalog.  During the enrollment process you will receive a copy of MTI's school catalog detailing our policies and procedures. Remember our programs have a maximum occupancy and fill up quickly, so enroll as early as possible.  The sooner you complete the enrollment process, the better your chance of securing a seat in the program you desire.

Admissions Requirements

All prospective students are required to take an assessment test prior to gaining admission into Millennium Training Institute.  Applicants are required to show proof of having attained a High School diploma or GED and will be assessed by means of MTI’s General Information Form and the English and Math Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).  All prospective Medical students are also required to complete a CORI consent form in order to determine placement qualification.

Students are required to meet or exceed required test score thresholds in order to be considered for enrollment.  Additionally, candidates must provide a valid ID (license, passport, etc) that will be copied and included in the student’s folder.  All prospective students are required to tour the school facility and interview with a representative from Admissions prior to admittance to MTI.  Courses previously completed at other institutions will not count as credit toward your MTI Certificate of Completion.

Admissions Procedures

To apply for admissions, applicants should complete an online application or schedule an appointment for a personal interview and to tour the facilities.  During the entrance interview, prospective students discuss their individual career goals and objectives with an Admissions Representative.  The Admissions Representative will work with the applicant to complete a General Information (GI) form and entrance assessment by means of an English and Math Level M TABE test. The Admissions Representative will review training program details pertaining to the prospective student's program of choice to include, but not be limited to, course content, program schedule, program length, projected start dates and projected completion dates.

All applicants will be taken on a tour of the facility during the visit. The Admissions representative will introduce the applicant to the Financial Aid Officer who will work with the applicant to determine potential payment methods for their program of choice.  Once the funding source(s) has been determined, the Admissions Representative will complete the enrollment process and review the Enrollment Agreement and Satisfactory Progress Form with the applicant to insure all sections are properly completed and thoroughly understood.  The candidate will sign and initial these documents indicating acknowledgement of the terms of the enrollment. A School Director will review the assessment and the application and then notify the applicant of the status of his/her admission to the school. Candidates who do not meet the admissions requirements and are not accepted to the program will be advised accordingly.

Career Services

Millennium Training Institute is committed to helping our graduates secure employment. We have an active Career Services department, and curriculum designed to support students in the early stages of career planning, prior to graduation. Students are offered a broad range of career services including individualized one-on-one career planning, resume and cover letter development and job search assistance. Although the school provides placement assistance, we cannot guarantee employment.

Part of each training program is MTI's Career Development course, which is delivered in the classroom.  The goal of this curriculum is to thoroughly prepare students in all aspects of managing their careers, from initial skills identification to negotiating the final offer.  The course is divided into a series of modules encompassing job search organization and strategy, skills identification, resume, cover letter and thank you letter writing, job search techniques, including using new media, networking and interviewing skills, business etiquette, and success in the workplace. Discussions and exercises include addressing tricky interview questions, the importance of researching and gaining as much knowledge about the prospective company as possible, and learning about their positions and fields of interest.

The final projects of this curriculum are the job search portfolio, which includes a final resume, cover letter, reference sheet, and additional materials (recommendation letters and examples of work product).  Students receive one credit hour for completing the Career Development course.

While students are in training, they receive support from the Career Services department with finalizing their job search portfolios in a professional and well-written format, job search strategy and interviewing/networking techniques. In addition, assistance is given to students to gain a better understanding of their career accomplishments, and how they can be assets in their next positions. This enhanced awareness is useful in preparing for job readiness.

Financial Aid

Here at Millennium Training Institute we are committed to helping you achieve your educational goals.  Funding your education is easy once you've made the decision to enroll in our school.  A representative from our Financial Aid department will guide you through the process.  To get started you can schedule a visit or request more information.  Below is some basic information on the types of aid available, and remember, we're always here to help.

Grants

The main criterion for receiving grants is substantial financial need. Grants do not have to be repaid unless a student becomes ineligible. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined in Millennium Training Institute's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.

Federal Pell Grant – is a federal grant awarded to students on the basis of financial need and does not have to be repaid. These grants are considered the foundation of federal financial aid, to which aid from other federal and non-federal sources might be added. Pell Grants are only awarded to undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s or a professional degree. In order to apply for a Pell Grant, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The U.S. Department of Education uses a standard formula to evaluate the financial information provided on this application to determine a student’s eligibility for a Pell Grant. Award amounts vary based on a student’s financial need, an institution’s cost of attendance and enrollment status.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) – is a federal grant awarded to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need and does not have to be repaid. Funds are limited and Federal Pell Grant recipients receive priority. Students do not need to apply for this grant.

State Grants – Candidates that are members of the Massachusetts One Stop Career Centers may qualify for funding provided through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), National Emergency Grants (NEG) and similarly funded programs. These funding sources allow individuals that are experiencing a separation from employment or an extended period of unemployment an opportunity to develop skills necessary to transition into a secure employment opportunity, ideally for the long term. Those candidates that enroll in a training program that are also currently collecting Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits may qualify for a Section 30 benefits extension while in training. The Section 30 extension allows qualified candidates the opportunity to receive an extension of benefits for up to an additional 18 weeks beyond their regular UI benefits period, or until the end date of their training program, whichever comes first.

Veterans Grants – Millennium Training Institute is approved by the Veterans Administration to train veterans and other eligible students under Title 38, US Code as amended (“GI Bill”). If you are a veteran, disabled veteran or if you are on active duty or inactive reserve status, you may qualify for training funds.

Scholarships

Millennium Training Institute provides scholarship opportunities to students who have been sponsored by a grant through the State of Massachusetts, a City program in the State of Massachusetts, veterans who are utilizing their GI Bill and prospective students who are currently experiencing financial hardship personally or in their family household. All parameters of the MTI Scholarship program are set forth in Millennium Training Institute Scholarship Policy and Application Booklet available to all applicants. Applicant eligibility, application process, selection process, award determination/denial process and award disbursement are all described in the MTI Scholarship Policy and Application Booklet. A copy of this booklet is available at the Financial Aid Office.

Loans

Millennium Training Institute was selected by the United States Department of Education to participate in the Federal Direct Student Loan Program. Direct Loans are low-interest loans and the lender/servicer is the U.S. Department of Education (the Department).

Subsidized Direct Loan - are loans for undergraduate students with financial need. Repayment begins 6 months after a student graduates or is no longer enrolled at least half time. The interest rate on Federal Direct Subsidized loans borrowed by undergraduate students between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016 is 4.29%. If a student qualifies, the maximum amount of a Subsidized Direct Loan is $3,500 for first-year students, $4,500 for second-year students and $5,500 for third-year and fourth-year students. The loan fee associated with these Federal loans is 1.068% for the period through September 30, 2016, and is proportionately deducted from each loan disbursement.

Unsubsidized Direct Loans - are loans for both undergraduate and graduate students that are not based on financial need. Interest is charged during in-school, deferment, and grace periods. The interest rate on Federal Direct Unsubsidized loans borrowed by undergraduate students between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016 is 4.29% and the interest rate for graduate/professional students is 5.84%. You are charged interest on this loan from the time the loan is disbursed until it is paid in full. If the interest is allowed to accumulate, the interest will be added to the principal amount of the loan and increase the amount to be repaid. If an independent student qualifies, the maximum amount of an Unsubsidized Direct Loan is $9,500 for first year students (no more than $3,500 of this amount may be in subsidized loans), $10,500 for second year students (no more than $4,500 of this amount may be in subsidized loans), and $12,500 for third year and beyond (no more than $5,500 of this amount may be in subsidized loans). Award amounts are dependent upon a student’s dependency status on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The loan fee associated with these Federal loans is 1.068% for the period through September 30, 2016, and is proportionately deducted from each loan disbursement.

Federal Direct PLUS Loan – are low interest loans available to parents of dependent undergraduate students and graduate and professional students. It is an affordable, low-interest loan designed to help students and parents pay for a college education. The Direct Plus Loan is an unsubsidized loan, meaning that interest accrues while the student is enrolled at least half-time and during deferment periods. A mandatory credit check is completed as eligibility for this loan depends upon the borrower’s credit worthiness. Repayment of principal and interest begins 60 days after the loan is disbursed. The interest rate on Federal Direct PLUS loans borrowed between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016 is 6.84%. The loan fee associated with these Federal loans is 4.272% for the period through September 30, 2016, and is proportionately deducted from each loan disbursement.

Each party agrees that any notice that it receives from the other party electronically satisfies any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Our school is also licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure, Office of Private Occupational School Education to provide both career and educational training to improve student's long-term career opportunities.

History

Millennium Training Institute (MTI) was founded in 1999 as a Massachusetts career training school located in Woburn, MA.  In its first two years, MTI delivered career training in a part-time format; students enrolled during evening and weekend hours while working full-time during the day.  These students were looking to expand their current knowledge and skill level, or looking to begin a new and exciting career path. In 2001, MTI was approved as a Massachusetts training provider for the Division of Career Services (DCS), the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and for National Emergency Grants. Receiving approval to become a Massachusetts training provider created an opportunity for MTI to offer career-training tracks in a full-time format.

With enrollment growing steadily, MTI was ready to expand in 2001.  A second, satellite facility was opened in Cambridge, MA.  The Cambridge school enjoyed rapid growth and in 2003 the school was relocated to a larger space at 263 Summer Street in the city of Boston.  In November 2014, the Boston school relocated to 2 Granite Avenue on the Dorchester/Milton line where it remains today.
